I can assign a different key, but how does one remove a key assignment from an event?

As far as I know you can't, however just uncheck the checkbox on the right to disable the hotkey.

I tried regedit, but the default hotkeys reappear when I log off/log on. Hotkeys that I have changed in-game remain, however. Odd.

DHS itself has no default hotkeys. If some plugin is installing itself with defaults, then no, you can't clear them, only turn them off.

And which plugin is doing that? I think that is bad form for using DHS.

I currently run Alinco, SortIt!, Agent Z, and Quest Timer. Only Alinco has pre-defined hotkeys.

Alinco has hotkey issues, for sure. They are pre-defined, so if you've got another key bound to one it uses, it jacks that up. And, it has a nasty habit of reseting them all when you log out.

While this may not seem to be an issue, the fact that it FORCES you to use the "1" key for a heal (unless you disable the hotkey totally, or want to reset it every time you log in) means you can't put anything in your shortcut for number 1, or you are unable to use it. VERY bad form, IMO.

I'd like to see Alinco stop assigning hotkeys automatically, and leave them blank upon install, allowing the user to decide if they even want to assign them, and then which key to assign it to.

In Alinco the hotkeys are currently installed with default values but you can change them

and when you delete them and they won't be created again.

When you uninstall the plugin they got removed and When you install a newer

version your old personal values got restored but deleted hot-keys are created again

Well that is how it should work, problems got fixed faster if you report them to the plugin author. do you use version 1.3.2.1?

Losado, I can't speak for Chaz, but I am using 1.3.2.1 yes.

And yes, you can change the keys, but the issue is that they change back when you relog, regardless of what you change them to. Especially annoying when it uses keys that I've already bound to something else in DHS.

I'd honestly prefer Alinco not set defaults at ALL, as Gouru said, and allow users to choose to set them or not themselves, which is how all other plug-ins I've ever seen that use hotkeys are. Alinco is the first one I've seen to automatically assign keys, regardless of what the user may have assigned to them already. Especially troublesome when Alinco chooses things like spellbar/shortcut keys (numbers).

And I've reported it on other threads about Alinco It just isn't a huge deal to me cause I simply disable them. Would be nice to have the auto heal, but nothing that bothers me not to have.

And by the way, stacking pyreals when you sell loot, doesn't work anymore with 1.3.2.1

(I'd like to see Alinco add a "list" to add items to be stacked, similar to the way we can add things to be tracked, or to the Comps HUD. That way you can stack pyreals, but not things like notes, or peas. It is especially annoying when you try to split something from your chest and have it automatically put it back, or try to sell partial stacks of peas, which it wouldn't let you with 1.3.2.0. With this new release, although it said something about stacking being changed, the reason I used it was to stack pyreals when I sold, and it no longer does that.)

Anyway, I digress. I like that you are constantly working on the issues with Alinco, and it continues to grow and evolve. That's great to see!

I think found the error already

You can fix it for now by open decal agent from the taskbar and drag "Decal Hotkey System" to the top

or at least above alinco.
