I'm getting a pause of about 30 seconds or so when I try to log in. When I click on wintersebb, I get a blank black screen before getting the screen with the vials that fill. Its during the blank black window I get the pause.


This only started couple days ago. I have not added any plugins or changed anything. I tried turning all plugins off and still get the delay with decal on and none running.

I've been having the same problem the last couple days. Takes about a minute for decal to show up in taskbar and Ac takes about 5 minutes to log in. Also, I am getting what I believe is packet loss in game. I lag so bad I cannot play with decal on.

Eltank has a problem IF you are logging all your chats


check your tank sub-folder if there is a huge text file that is probably the culprit.


find out where in tank to turn oFF the logging of text file and delete that text file as tank is loading it up at startup and as that file gets bigger & biger the longer load time takes.


of course THIS may not be the only reason, or even the reason. But it is a know problem with tank which 2 or3 of you have loaded, thus one of the first places to begin looking.

Yep tanks chat does, but I tried with ALL plugins turned off, makes no differance still takes forever to get in game. My delay is not once I select character, its before I even get the screen with the vials that fill.

I don't know about your El Tank theory...

These are the things i spotted. Maybe help... can't hurt.

How would updating a plugin that I didnt even have running and still getting delay help? This is something that just started couple days ago, nothing changed on my end. What changed on decals end?


I know the plug in shows was enabled on export but that was as I was turning stuff back on after trying with everything off and still getting delay.

Yes, I do. I haven't had a lot of time to troubleshoot this yet, but based on previous problems, I'd guess it's a problem with insanity-inc being down.

Is Insanity-inc being down temp or permemant? I wouldn't mind the wait cept for one thing, I use alot of mules to keep ties for quests and the delay makes it tough for me to summon a portal and get back in time before portal disappears with mules that can barely cast summon I. If gonna be something I'll have to live with then so be it, I'll just have to lvl mules so they can cast lvl II or lvl III summons or do without.


Also just noticed if means anything takes about 40 seconds or so for decal icon to show in the tray when starting it too.

Try editing "hosts" file in

\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\


Add following 2 lines


127.0.0.1 insanity-inc.org

127.0.0.1 www.insanity-inc.org


When you no longer need it or if it does not help then remove them.
