Does the Macro -> Loot -> Filters -> Special tab in LTX, where you can type in names of items to loot, support wildcards in any way? I've tried a few things but I can't seem to get it to work.

No, when you want to loot something, it needs to be specific. The only wildcard is detection.

It does not support wildcards (that I know of), but you can tell it to not do an exact match (the little button to the right of the item).
So if I put in Pea and unmark the checkbox to the right of Pea it will pick up anything with Pea in it (copper pea, silver pear, gold pea, spear, etc). Since I don't want to pick up spears I also put spear in the exclude box and uncheck the checkbox to the right so it won't pick up any spears (silver spear, mahogany spear, etc).
Between the exclude list and the loot list it is pretty easy to get it to pick up a broad range of things rather than having to know the names of every possible item.

Oh... good point. I completely forgot that. I was just pulling from memory what I remembered since I haven't been able to get IG for the last few weeks.
Sorry, so the "Specials" in loot can be a partial match as Repton stated.

I wouldn't put PEA as a wildcard, you will get 50 sPEArs in your main pack.

spears rule anyway, so as long as you don't exclude them, it's a win/win situation

or you could do it with making a special rule and use " pea" make sure the space is before it. I'll have to test it but it should work that way you don't have to worry about spears.
