again mate, I had all the lower spells I'm tired of repeating this


I had levels 1-6 already of Arcanum Salvaging from 1-5


I had over 200 base creature and no vitae whenever i started this which is plenty enough to cast 5s or any other lower level of this spell.


It only started buffing once I had LEARNED the level 6s. NO offense man but please actually read a post instead of skimming.


The TWO things I changed when it started working were I had learned the level 6 self and other of the spell. that's it. that's the only variable in this and no I didn't WANT It to cast 6s before because I was too cheap to go buy them. I wanted to get any of the buffs from 1-5 and it just wouldn't do it no matter what. and yes i had the skill and yes i had it enabled.

i see you posted you have no flaws with this well that's fine and dandy i'm letting you know that lifetank has a lil bug in there somewhere that's causing random spells not to work for people

Well in response to both threads here... I can't diagnose or fix a problem if I can't reproduce it. I have seen LT run successfully on 5 or 8 different machines, with different hardware setups and have never seen it "pick and choose" what spells to cast. I also can't make it pick and choose what players to cooperate with, and who to be difficult to.


All I know to say, is make sure you're running the latest Windows XP with SP2 and all the updates. Decal needs to be version 2.9.6.0. Lifetank version is 11.7.0.1, as well as Darkside Filter. You need to have MSXML4.0 installed, as well as MS Scripts, the DX3D Redist Files, and .NET Framework (which may not be required, but IS required for Decal to function anyway. These links are all provided here. You also are recommended to have atleast 256meg of system ram, and 128meg of video ram. In my experience, Windowed mode works best too.


Now, if all that is done and installed correctly.. the only thing I know to try is to uninstall Lifetank from Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. When that completes, open My Computer and find C:\Program Files\Lifetank X and C:\Program Files\Darkside Softwares and delete both directories. This WILL delete all of your profiles as well, so you will need to reconfigure them after you reinstall the latest version of Lifetank.


If at that point you're still having the same problems, I honestly do not know what to tell you. I don't believe it to be a problem in the software itself, or the problem would be more widespread and happening to the majority of those who use the plugin.

I reinstalled MS XML 4.0 Required for Decal/LTxi and Windows updated itself this morning. All seems to be back to normal. Thanks all.
