Man, people who don't play DT sure don't understand, but ya, Open up Mule Trade It and go to "Messages" tab, once there type your msg like: /trade YADA YADA YADA
Then click add, make sure you set the appropriate Ad interval. You can also add /allegiance or whatever you want, but careful, people will probably squelch ya if you advertise to much or don't get permission to advertise in /allegiance (if you give allegiance discount sometimes they don't mind)

Trade channel is for trading, I myself don't see an issue with someone that doesn't abuse it by spamming every minute or so. Doing so on the other global channels is another issue.

One person running a bot that advertises every ten minutes isn't a big deal. However, it becomes a problem when you have 20 people running a bot and get spammed every 30 seconds. It'd be like always standing in the marketplace (on a white server), and would probably result in many people turning off the Trade channel, which would destroy the channel for the non-bots who want to use it to actually trade.

Well, its the only way to advertise on Darktide that you have a tradebot, other than word of mouth. So, its kinda just a given on there that if you turn on /trade channel you'll get spammed with advertisements, its not too bad actually. You might have to squelch 1 or 2 bots due to them advertising so darn much, but the other ones do it like once every 5 to 10mins, so not to bad. And ya, his post is bout having the bot on DT, course no one in there right mind on a white server would use /trade to advertise their bot. thats just stupid.

I've never actually done it myself, but do tradebots respond to you saying "!bot" on the /trade channel? Granted, this isn't ideal either, as it would lead to people spamming the trade channel with "!bot"

HG had problems with bot spam on the global channels at one time. Enough so that the Envoys starting passing out 3 day account bans.
