Think I found the problem. Haven't grinded hard yet so longest period I've gone so far is 3hrs, but still no crashing.

It's Windows Script 5.6. Which installs a bunch of dll files for scripting languages on your system. Found it by looking at some other decal sites that people were having crash issues and they recommended installing it. Let me know if it works for you.

MS Script 5.6 is required for Lifetank to run, anyway... so you do need it.

As far as I know, everyone crashes. The time differences, best I can tell, is related to how much system RAM you have, how many programs you have running in the background, and how long the client runs. Usually the more RAM you have, the longer things will stay running. I have 2 gig of ram in my system and have been able to leave it IG for 10-12+ hours. And usually it ran more than that, but it was me clicking on the other Decal plugins running IG when it crashed.

So, from what I gather, it's based on the amount of RAM you have.. the more you have the long it lasts usually. I figure it's caused by a memory leak either in Decal or Lifetank, but neither one of us really know.

My suggestion has always been if you're only running 256-512meg of system ram, maybe it's time to upgrade. If that's not a possibility, then I would suggest running Decal with only Lifetank loaded and nothing else, even programs in the background like virus scanners or web browsers (even though you're supposed to be attended anyway you shouldn't be browsing the web). Also, while the client is running, I wouldn't click on the Lifetank icon in the Decalbar in-game. Get everything you need setup and leave it alone. I always crashed when opening something on the Decalbar IG.

Other than that, I'm not sure what else to tell you. Unless I've forgotten something that should be your best bet.

Thanks

C

Thx for reply Crelic.

I got two systems running and one has 2GB of some fancy modell RAM and the 7950GX2 card along with a AMD x2 5000+ while the other one has 512 ram and a crappy built in graphic card, but they both crash at the same time. So i realy doubt it has something to do with that, but then again im not exactly a computerwiz

It's allso that i got ppl with way lower systems goin at the same dungeon and they dont crash. This is so very weird and it's about to drive me crazy...

Im trying again to go at another place to see what happends.

I even tried running with just AC installed along with needed uppdates and plugins. No difference and i seldom crash when i am at the computer, it's almost always when im not touching anything for a few hours that i crash.
