I have been seriously tempted to revive my "MuleTrader" website lately. It would require a little bit of tweaking, but it basically allowed you to upload all your items to a web database. The web site then allowed searching, building trade lists, etc., and had all item info including DCS colors. Also note, the ingame plug-in could easily be altered for some ingame search/display as well.


The only issue is whether or not putting in the 40-80 hours of development time and hosting costs are worth it when only 5-10 people will actually use it, none of which will fork over a single cent in support of it

I'd use it, and probably even send you a cent.

That's an interesting statement considering those targeted by my comment did little but try and antagonize me over my signature content. I don't believe I received an answer from those people but rather WHAT I should do with MY signature. Had it been any other way, I wouldn't have made that comment.


I say if you have nothing productive to offer in lieu of what I've asked, there's no need to post pointless BS on my thread.

As I see it, what they did was to respond like a perfectly normal human being. Your post had an obvious contradiction in it: "I'm looking for a Decal Plugin.....I don't play AC anymore" So they pointed out the contradiction, and not one of them actually insulted you while doing it.


If you had simply answered the obvious question about that contradiction then one of those people might well have given an answer to your question.

Not only that, but I offered to -pay- for the plugin. I'm not asking for charity. I would understand perhaps if I asked for this freely, but I didn't. I'm not going to argue with you though because you, like many, seem to revel in conflict over trivial details.

I don't believe I've asked any questions. If you'll reread my initial post, I'm clearly IN SEARCH OF something. I didn't request ANY QUESTIONS BE ANSWERED, so I don't know why exactly you're insisting I'm asking a question. I was simply searching for someone with the skills necessary to undertake a task.


You can defend intentional ignorance all you want. It should be quite obvious I play Asheron's Call; why else would I request a plugin? That doesn't even make sense. Period. Hell, even if I didn't.. if I'm offering to pay money, what does it matter? So what if I bought it and didn't do anything with it? My waste of money; if I'm paying for a product, it's my right to do whatever I wish with what I've purchased.

I didn't insist on anything. I simply found it easier to refer to your original post as a question rather than as a statement of the fact that your are in search of some information. Personally I'd think that "One with any trace of common sense whatsoever would realize" what I was referring to.


And since you DID bring it up, the merest of google searches will show you that the simple presence or absence of a "?" at the end of a statement is NOT the "one and only" definition of a question. You're going to have some work ahead of you to prove that a statement that seeks information through a reply from the people who read that statement is NOT a question.
