Author Topic: Possible to have LTx never salvage minors/majors/etc? [Locked]

Started playing again recently and have been testing LTx. Unfortunately in my experiments I enabled auto salvaging and USTed a nice little white sapphire dual minor.. could have been a major though! *whew* Anyways I know about the loot->exception tab but in theory if I am auto-looting as I hunt, a red garnet major could get picked up and salvaged before I could mark it. Please tell me I am missing a simple setting to avoid this situation.

TIA!

No love for me.. No one has any idea on how to configure this?

I think this would have to be written into the plug-in code. Not just a reconfiguration.

I was afraid of that but I wanted to believe I was doing something wrong. Well hopefully this is not a major change and the devs can squeeze this in soon.

Does anyone have any other salvaging plug-ins that they like (assuming they do not salvage special items)??

if you have minors and majors set to be picked up it shouldnt salvage them. it never salvaged my majors even the w10 steel ones.

Yeah, you may not have it set to pick up minors, so it saw the item as White Sapphire instead and followed the rules and Usted.

It only follows the rules if it was the one that executed the rules. If you picked up something that you want to keep, it may still fall under those rules since it wasn't flagged as special. Add it to your exempt list and it won't happen.

Personally, as paranoid as I am, EVERY SINGLE THING in my pack is on that list =P And I hit add twice to make sure I get that error message that it's already been added... and for the really paranoid, log out correctly after adding everything to ensure it's saved to your profile.

Makes me wonder why stuff in your pack that is about to be salvaged isn't checked against the loot rules like stuff that is picked up...

In my case the dual minor bracelet was sitting in my main pack just before I loaded up LTx the first time.. I agree VI that it seems intuitive that it should. If I remember right the old UST plug-in would ignore any special items. If I were in control I would have it not process equipped items (not sure it would anyway), majors, minors and inscribed items.

You didn't read what I post... what is in your pack about to be salvaged IS checked, but only if Lifetank picked it up and flagged it. If it didn't give it that special flag, you didn't exempt it on the list, or it isn't inscribed (I'm 90% sure it automatically skips inscribed stuff) then if it meets any of the salvage rules it's fair game as far as the plugin is concerned. There's no other way it'd know if it didn't flag it itself.
