I can't seem to get my Decal updated.


I have logged in and patched and everything. Then i have logged out and tried to update decal, but everything stays as red X's. I then tried hitting the refresh button, but did not work.


I then restarted my computer hoping it would help, but did not. Is there anyway to get around this?

I get a message saying the client version does not match the xml version.


client version = 0.0.11.2961 - xml version = 0.0.11.2951


I have tried updating through decal and decalutil.


Still does not work.


I deleted the 5 files it updates and let it redownload them and still does not work.


Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks for the link, but didn't help...hmmm i might have to re-install Decal

You're hitting a Cache. If you're downloading the memlocs and it is giving you the 2951 version, then it is a cached version.


2961 is what is on the server right now, but some people might not be able to access them because of Proxy caching or other similar issues.


This happens every patch day usually due to impatient people who click Update before the memlocs are posted, thus screwing themselves and potentially some other people out of the latest memlocs soon.


Best thing you can do is wait for a while and stop attempting to grab them. You're just keeping the cache alive longer most likely. The other alternative is to download them by hand.


see if the following link has the 2961 versions, or if they say 2951.
