It's no secret I've been away from the game for a good while now. I no longer have the free time in my life to properly keep this plugin up to date and running as it deserves.


I would like to pass the plugin on to someone who I feel will hold the same viewpoints and values we have started, but keep it running strong. The webhosting service and domain name, which consists of LifetankXI.Com and everything on it, including the authentication server will still be available as it is for no charge to whomever I feel would be the best candidate. I would rather not move the domain off of my server since I just recently renewed the domain for a year and the server is already paid for.


I have spoke to a few people in the past who I feel would handle this well, and I will be contacting them soon. However, if they have changed their minds or I cannot find anyone to take it up, I will probably just leave the plugin online indefinitely so it is still usable but with no further updates being done to it, except those that would be minor fixes if Decal were to break it. No, at this point I still would not like to release the source to the public as of yet, and criticizing my choice on that matter will earn you no response. I may chance my mind about that, but for the time being, the code will not be passed unless I find someone to properly care for it.

Yeah I wouldn't release the source anytime soon.


It was a shame that the other dev Spk "hired" released it, a dang shame, because we had some really great features coming out, but, I wasn't going to release that on the public version.

I can officially say thank you C'relic. You worked hard on this. Congrats! Hate to see you go. I hope if no one takes it up you would release the source to at least the plugin itself. This would give the public the option to make it whatever they wanted as intended by the original developer. I can still say I never had/have your source. So you can be rest assured I was never a threat to your project. I told you guys I was building off the old source. I never completed it. Figured since the public trusted you and not us, you could just do it. I didn't see a need for 2 versions. However I believe that your own morals shouldn't be an effect on what happens with the future. That is just a control thing. If you want control, keep developing it! Otherwise let her go. Can't have your cake and eat it too! It never works 100% that way. Maybe you got partial control/intentions involved, but you never fully have it. Anyone can turn on you too.

I have the original source pre-ToD, and trying to make a re-work for ToD, but it's more just for fun, no point in releasing to the public.


I do think there have been some questionable decisions in the LTxi development (Paraduck), from its original intentions of Spk, but I do understand that times change. However, banning characters on DT from LT because they wouldn't share info about a quest is a huge no no in my book.

Don't toy with people and think you have some huge hold over them. It looks like your enjoying it, it shows your true colors.


You might have been right in SOME of your decisions with LTXI... But look at a couple people who want it going back like it was intended to do.


Swordz should release it. I think it would show that your really don't have any control over Lifetank and if your version dies... SO BE IT.


I think that not at least giving up parts of the conversion work is kinda stupid imho. You don't have to give up your features, but the continued code THAT WAS NOT YOUR WORK>>>>> should be released


If it means we go back to Pre-ToD version. Then I guess it means that.


But it's not a loss to anyone really. You just don't go out with the bang and control you intended too!


In the end. It doesn't even matter. The games gonna die anyhow. Why worry about hurting it now?

I would never release the original LT source to the public. I was given the code by Spk, and I made a promise to him I would never release that code, and I will uphold my promise, even if he doesn't play, or if the game dies.


The only reason I am trying to get it to work on ToD is because I am extremely bored, and I haven't coded in a while.
