I recently had some directx issues and had to reinstall. Since then, GoArrow won't route, throws a boatload of errors (posted below), and just makes me want to curl up and cry. I did a complete uninstall and reinstall of Decal and associated plugins, wiped the registery clean of everything, reinstalled (twice) and still, no joy. Everything else is working fine.

I dl and test most of the plugins that I read about, so you'll see a boatload installed, but only a few actually used. It lets me help others with install and setup questions. My husband runs the same plugins on a Vista machine, but doesn't get the DirectX errors.


The lockups happen MOST of the time when I'm either running into a new landblock...or when I die. I lockup either in the death portal or right after landing there. *coughs* So that on happens rather frequently. It happens during high lag times, on quests. And, it seems, more often in the evening than in the daytime. Then again, I play mostly in the evening, and if I'm on in the daytime, I'm more stationery, and in safer spots.


I've completely uninstalled Decal and all plugins and cleanly reinstalled. The problem comes right back. I've run Decal alone and with plugins individually enabled. That's not an easy test, because the DirectX crashes don't occur every single time I play. Sometimes, closing the game with Alt F4 clears the lockup. Other times, when I attempt to restart the AC Client, my system will have been set to 4-bit, and NOTHING will run correctly until I reboot. Then I have to reset the ingame resolutions, because it will be reset to something close to (but not exactly) 800x600. I've changed my ingame resolutions and minimized all of my graphics setting and that didn't fix it. I've even uninstalled DirectX and reinstalled it. It didn't work. I've re-installed .NET, DirectX, Decal, ...everything but Windows. Please don't tell me I have to go there.
