I have installed decall 3 times now. after updating I get this error each time.


Your AC Client is out of date. If you are using dual log, make sure all

directories contain a current version, or get the latest version from Turbine.

I so have no idea what this means or what to do about it.

Have you patched your client to the newest one?

turn off Decal and log into the game, well when it back up, and see if it patches...

I have installed the new patch or updated I guess. got the same decal error, uninstalled decal, reinstalled decal and still get this same error. I have no idea how I would go about going to turbine to install a new ac client.

Delete the old memlocs and try again.


Also, if you are going to install Decal (again), uninstall it, then delete the Decal directory and try to reinstall.

It is not a memlocs issue.


Read the error again closely.


You'll notice that the memloc version is 0.0.12.2026 which is the CURRENT version.


You'll also notice that the AC Client version is NOT 0.0.12.2026... it's 0.0.11.something


That means that whichever client Decal is looking it is an OLD client and needs to be updated. Click Export to look at the path that Decal is using, then you should be able to log in and update that instance properly

this is what comes up when I click export. I have no idea what this means.

I have no idea why everything is killbitted (x'd out) but *shrug*


Run the aclauncher.exe from C:\Program Files\Turbine\Asheron's Call - Throne of Destiny\ and let it update appropriately.


Then close and restart Decal again and see if it produces the error.

Drakier - when Decal detects its out of date it killbits everything until you update.

Yeah.. I figured it had to do with the xml files being different versions than the acclient.exe


it isn't really overly important to the issue though. The issue is that AC is out of date in that directory.

that did it, ty. Somehow I ended up with two copies on my comp. Maybe it happened when I was trying to get AC to work with vista. Thanks again, that did the trick.
