the one issue i have to sending tells and getting nothing
is when the MONARCH is the buffbot and it is set to monarchy free buffs, he does nothing.
the other non monarch buff bot also set to monarych free buffs, works.
this is the 3rd time i've mentioned this bug, and twice maddey has mentioned will look into it, without a reply.

Actually I have looked into it and have been playing with the code around the monarch gathering. Don't speak of what you don't know. Just so people know I'm also working with the code on how bans are handled trying to make it possible to ban a monarchy from your bot without having to setup your bot as a charge for buffs bot.

We definetly appreciate your working on this Maddy! So far people can tell the bot 19 times and she doesnt ban them so for us that is not the problem LOL
Just people thinking our bot is singling them out and we dont like them .. sheesh.
Our Bot is the monarchy bot and has never charged for buffs. always been a free bot that is using castaway for over 5 yrs now.
I dont know if you were able to supply Maddy with a report Agnari or what the circumstances were so please dont attack this person who has been kind enough to respond to the problem!

I have had this issue twice.
I am close to a reproducable scenario. Will post details when I can recreate at will.
Edit: You can fix this by ensuring ***ALL*** profile and default directories related to this plugin are eliminated after you remove the plugin and before you reinstall. Usually, you can save the speech and buff profile files for the character that runs the bot and copy them over the fresh reinstall to save your changes, but only do this AFTER you've run the bot the first time with just the installed defaults.

Look for a banned.txt file in the Settings folder of the buff bot. If one is there re-name it to banned.old (do this with AC not running). Then log in and see if the problem still happens.
Looking at the log files generated it appears to be an issue with checking bans, good thing I'm working on this area.

Confirmed as caused solely by having a banned player, no crash required. I had someone get banned today and the problem started immediately. Merely deleting the banned user seeems to have remedied the problem.

Thanks, that confirms it for me. So I'll keep bugging away at replacing the current ban system with a new one. I have the class written to deal with this, everything is stored in a nice XML file now. It has the ability to deal with individual bans and banning a monarchy.
I'm also looking at the issue with the buff bot being a monarch and not buffing monarchy members.
