Oh crap..

My bad, I totally didn't know that. I will stop using them together. In any case, I just turned on all my plugs for the export.

When I run Minimap nothing happens. I get no map, no evidence that the plugin is even installed.

Make sure you're READING those licenses you're agreeing to when you click "I Accept". You're responsible for reading those and understanding them before accepting them.

I know it is common practice to just click "I Accept" the instant a License screen comes up, but you need to break that habit. You wouldn't just sign a document/contract without reading it first would you? (I'd hope not) Someone could write into the contract that you agree to pay them a monthly fee and that you are signing over power of attorney, etc... If you don't read the agreements before signing them, you could get yourself into some big trouble.

While EULA's (End-User License Agreements) aren't as serious or as legally binding, they're still important to read so you know what is expected of you and what your rights are in relation to the software you're installing/using.

That varies greatly by jurisdiction. State legislatures essentially had a war over this issue a few years back. Virginia and Maryland passed UCITA, which makes pretty much everything in an EULA enforceable. North Carolina, Iowa and West Virginia then passed laws saying those states would not honor such agreements under the terms of Virginia or Maryland.

It's a mess, but EULAs are certainly not just words, they do have a legal effect, and people should treat them like contracts.

I think the "as serious or legally binding" part got confused.

an EULA is not "as serious" or "as legally binding" as most contracts are, but they are still serious and legally binding in many cases.

As VI said, it's best to approach an EULA as a legally binding contract. That way you know what it says, and you will know you're accountable to abide by it. If you disagree, then I have a few "documents" I'd like you to "accept" for me. *evil grin*
