Around 4:00 p.m. CST I started receiving the following message regarding Quest Timer.

19:16:20 <{ Quest Timer }> Error #5 occurred in tm_Timeout: Invalid procedure call or argument @ line 374 [v2.4.0.2]

I tried logging on with another computer and I get the same message. It is occurring every second. It was suggested that I reinstall, but it's happening on multiple machines.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Grippin

Open errors.txt in the Quest Timer folder and paste it here. If it's really long, you can cut out the lines with the identical error to the one you posted above, but be sure to leave any other errors in.. they're the ones I need to see.

Also, open Decal, click export, and include that in your post.

I just found out that this is only happening with one character and it's the same character on both computers.

Ah. Then in that case you're seeing the same bug that a few other people have had:

http://vnboards.ign.com/ac_utilities/b5432/107829817/p1/?13

Unfortunately I haven't figured out what causes it, and apparently it goes away on its own. The other people who've had this problem say it affects plugins other than quest timer as well. Is that the case for you too?

Post a decal export anyways, maybe something will pop out.

To troubleshoot, try disabling all plugins except quest timer, and all third party filters (generally they're the ones that don't have the same version number as Decal). You'll need to completely exit AC to disable filters. See if you still get the error when only Quest Timer is running.

I also noticed that BuffMe was mis-reporting time left on buffs. It also didn't properly display the default profile. I had disabled Quest Timer at this point. After selecting the desired profile and running the macro I logged off, enable Quest Timer and logged back in. Surprise! Quest Time was again working properly. At this point I don't know if a Decal Export will be useful. However, if something like this happens again I will capture that data as well.

Thanks for the effort in any case! This is a nice plugin that really helps me keep track of what I can do and when I can do it.

Thanks,

I got that same error with spamming.

Only thing I can think of that was different was I used one of the Deck of Cards on that character. (ie deck of eyes or hands spell)

so that might be related to it.

I got that error a bunch of times. I dont know what fixes it either. Basically I just have to keep logging in and out until it finally stops.

If you can find a reliable way to reproduce it, it'll go a long ways towards fixing the bug. But considering that it seems to affect multiple plugins, I'm guessing that the bug is in Decal itself, which isn't going to be updated until the New View System is complete.
