I've whipped up a quick plugin that'll aid with Society Chat.
Features:
* Configurable society chat color and output window.
* Society chat shortcut /so
If you have any other feature requests, please let me know.

Paraduck,
Any way you can allow the plugin to accept chat in 2 channels at once?
I like to have it in my fellowship window as well as my main chat window. When the plugin is running, it limits me to just 1 window.

It would also be nice if you could change the color of the other chat channels as well.

I just uploaded a new version (same link) that has a bit cleaned up code as well as support for @so commands.

As far as the other requests:
Other chat channels: Sure. Give me a bit and I'll add them.

New features:
* Multiple chat window output is now supported.
* Color/Window support for General, Trade, LFG, RP, and Allegiance channels added.
* Allegiance chat color (Orange) added as an option for text color.

Is it possible to make one where you automatically stay in the channel you were last in, eliminating the need to do /a or /cg all the time etc???

You can do that in the client, IIRC. Click the "Chat" arrow at the bottom left of the screen, next to the chat box.
