Tagged.

I am using AC+ which has a self-buffer among other things. However, the buffing part isn't exactly what I'm looking for.

Here's a good place to go for plugins: http://www.dereth.info/?ind=utility_info

Just out of curiosity, what exactly are you looking for? The buffs feature in AC+ is designed to let you use it any way you want, if it's not doing that, I'm keen to know why.

Probably I'm being a dunce then.

I've found that it will step down and cast lower level spells than I want it to. My character is only level 40, and still fizzles casting VI's... so to make things work, I have to cast a V or two to buff my creature, so I can buff it higher without fizzling too much.

I didn't play with the buffing in AC+ enough to see that it was configurable, so clearly I missed something.

I noticed that by default it was casting lower level buff spells, and even stepping down to II's... probably because of available mana (I'm guessing). I didn't see a way to change its behavior, but then again, I really didn't look that hard.

There doesn't seem to be an interface for forcing it to only cast certain level spells. It this done by editing an XML file perhaps?

No, it's not that configurable right now; you're right, it drops down to lower level spells if you're short on mana. For buffs this isn't entirely appropriate, I'll probably change that, but for managing stam/health/mana it's very useful.

The whole point is there's two ways of using it- it either rebuffs anything that needs it as and when required, or it will cast all the buffs you have selected in sequence. There's a known issue with the latter method where it won't attempt to get your mana back using S2M/revit when it should be, that's likely what's happening. If you have 'manage health/stam/mana' enabled in the options however, it should work fine.

It's designed to be as simple to use as possible, but yeah, it badly needs some configurable options. It's on my list for the next release.

BuffMe is a simple and nice buff program. I use it often.
