Decal Will Not Update |
My decal will not update. It says "Could not obtain updatelist.xml Cannot update - Hosting file down?"
How do I fix this?

A kind soul has updloaded the necessary files here
http://ac.circleofseven.com/ac/downloads/decal/memlocs.zip
You will need to:
Exit Decal
Unzip the downloaded file
Copy the unzipped files to your Decal Directory
Restart Decal |

How do I unzip a file?
Also, where is my Decal Directory at?

Try just double clicking the file - chances are that you have a program already installed to unzip files. If not, you can download a program like WinZip or WinRAR.
The Decal directory defaults to C:\Program Files\Decal 3.0, but it might be different if you picked another directory when you installed Decal.

wonder how long their site will be down.
i have yet to install it on one computer. so can't connect to use dxwebsetup. I suppose it'd work now if I had the decal.msi in order to do so...

How old is the decal host server box anyway?!.. sheesh.. and people still are playing this game. You'd think proud owners of a server would know how to configure some backup routines to fail safe some of this stuff. Thanks from the players who still care to provide quick zip urls, good going circle of sevens group. I wonder how much longer till the new decal version update will take place, after all these years I still look forward to what the ac database has to offer. To bad they don't put as much content into the game as they used to but the items over time add up and I wouldn't want to see anything break.. but since turbine upgraded there servers they might be able to hold a lot more information and get the monthly patches rolling again even with a small amount of players.. time doesn't stop and AC shouldn't either.
