Just wondering. I know give Devs some time.

With as little "lead time" as we had this patch, my guess would be either late tonight, or tomorrow ... most of the devs aren't playing AC now so ... just have to be patient I guess

Yea kind of thought so. But I was able to get in game about 11am Pacific time. Oh well thats ok. Gives me a chance to catch up on a lot of paper work that just never seems to get done.

Ashake, precisely, that's why I posted the way I did, stating there was a patch in a clear precise manner.

My first inkling of a patch was when the launcher started patching and the turbine links in the launcher were showing error garbage (bad links I believe). Quietly putting a non standard day of the week patch info in a thread on thier own forums is being very quiet about it, I'd prefer to see say a 24 hour notice, like a motd that there will be a patch in @ x time on y day, by then they dang well better know it's going in. Shrugs, getting off topic here.

Will I play much until decal is up, nope, I manual buffed for too many years already, not going back there now.

i was able to log in around 11 am eastern and shortly after there were 2 posters on decal devs site offering to help with the memlocks,which begs a question of when there are 2 willing workers why has work gone undone for 12 hrs ;P

will be thankfull whenever it does find a way done so i can play again ;D

Agreed Maglett ... I've not seen the launcher have those types of screwy error messages before They put it up on the forums only a couple days ago ... very odd!!


I play whether Decal is functioning or not ... I just play my bigger toons that have no issues self buffing I'd like to see it back online as well ... hopefully very soon

I don't read the decal dev boards much, but I suspect because of potential for abuse or error the decal dev's might want to get to know any new assistants before they hand over any keys to the city so to speak.

NOTE I am *NOT* a Decal Dev or in any way associated with them, I am merely SPECULATING upon thier possible reason's, my guess is worth what ya paid for it (but it seems like reasonable guess to me).

My closest association is using the fruits of thier labors :^)

I see you write about problems with the AC Launcher. I guess I must be blind I have not seen any kinds of errors when I have logged in.

And I knew of this update 3 days ago when our Monarch but a message on the MOTD and then when I logged out I went to the launcher and looked on right side and saw where they was having the worlds down today for update.


I am sure there are problems. With any large game as this one is I am sure there are some problems where and there. I can name a couple but they are minor ones at best. Like when you tab out and you come back in if you are wearing certain armor you are all white. Or if you choose to run Life Tank you log one character out and try to come in with a different one you get bumbed to desktop sometimes. I know that this one is not a game problem so to say but it is a problem to some.


I guess my whole point is I never saw any problems out the ordinary. Next time I will try to play with out my blinders on and maybe even turn sound on. Now that is something I have not done in YEARS. And I do mean years.


Well enjoy the night everyone. If I wanted to I could play. I know how to buff myself and my spell bars are and always have been setup for that and buffing others. I set that up before there was things like buffme or Tank or what ever.

I started the assistance thread on decaldev (as Beamz). I would happily verify my credentials for anyone if they'd just contact me. Briefly, I'm 50, retired and have been programming since I was 14. I think I could easily jump on an unannounced patch.

I do hope that they get a chance to fix up the decal. And if a lot of them don't play anymore, perhaps they should take on some assistants that do still play. It would be a shame to see all the hard work of all those who came before them (in creating and maintaining Decal) be gone while the game is still live.


I'm sure we have lots of dedicated players that have the expertise and the talent to continue with the programming.


And to the current Devs, thanks for all the work you've done and are doing. It would be nice if a Dev could just pop in here and let us know if it is being worked on, or if it is not. It's the wondering that is sometimes the most frustrating.
