Hello there, I am a complete mental when it comes to computers. I was wondering if there was a guide to downloading decal for Vista 64 bbit systems. Keep in mind, that I have no clue as to what I am doing. Preferably, it should be easyly understood by 3 year olds, from a third world country village, that have never seen an electrical device before.

If someone has done this, or is willing to walk me through it. I would be eternally gratefull.

Ok.. that's how you download Decal on Vista.

Oh, you want help installing it too?

2) Make a directory called c:\games (or somewhere other than your default directory)
3) Run the Decal Setup program
4) When prompted for where to install it, chose the directory you made in 2 followed by \decal.. i.e. c:\games\decal

that should just about do it. btw, it's better to install AC to the same directory that you made in 2.. i.e. c:\games\AC or something like that.

I have downloaded and installed decal. Now I get an error when trying to start AC with decal running


acclient.exe - Bad Image

C:\\Windows\system32\d3dx9_30.dll is either not designed to run on this Windows or it contains an error... etc


acclient has stopped working...

I have downloaded and Installed DirectX 9 at least 10 times now.... For some reason Decal doesnt show it as installed...


So need to make this easyer to install for end-users... Seems it isnt easy for anyone... Let alone someone who isnt good with computers

Ive followed this....Multiple times....


You need to install the DirectX 9.0c update that Decal requires. It should have been installed along with Decal, but you can get it here:

If that doesn't work, use this:
