Changed to Mcafee Security and now LTX causes a failure to get in game. I can run Mule Trade ok, but if I try to log in with LTX, I never log in. Any suggestions?

other then using a different virus program?

have you set up your virus program to permit Ltx access to the internet? or otherwise not blocking it from running

since you've installed to c:\turbine\.... i am assuming you are using vista or win7. you'll have to check the treads for which avg programs work with them.

The portal path shows program files and the build for the OS says its xp. I think agnari hasn't had his morning coffee yet

I do not see anything with your setup that should specifically stop ltx, but you have already narrowed it down to your AV. Chances are that is whats causing the problem like you suspect. On another note, your video drivers are really out of date. Even though your video card is not new they have probably made a lot of changes since 2004. You probably should update those.

Saloben, "McAfee Internet Security" does include a "Two-way Firewall" in it's package. Any possiblity it is blocking LTx like Agnari is suggesting?

Its possible that its his av package like i said in my previous message, but I would think that it would block everything and not just ltx.

sal, decal export doesn't Ident Vista/Win7 as they weren't around when it was developed.

it also won't list having .net framework 3.5 installed (required for alinco3) for the same reason.

so OS/net 3.5 can be key info missing from the equation and we wouldn't know from the export.

and you were right i since I never drink coffee, foul stuff.

I realize that it does not show for vista or win7, but the build number 2600 was only used in xp i believe. I hope one day someone gets around to updating decal. There is a lot that is missing.

Yeah, windows xp.

I went into McAfee and added the 4 .dll files in the LTX folder to the permitted list. Didn't help. Added the profile file for the character. Didn't help.

After hitting enter game the screen doesn't come up for about 30 seconds, then get no connection at all. Just loading Mule Trader works fine.

Any suggestions?

Other than putting another AV on your system I have no idea.

Ouch ....

OK .. Have you look at the eventlog for the OS or McAfee? Both have running logs. Needless to say, knowing the time of your attempt, see what the logs indicate is hanging on at the time. My feeling is that if this started with the McAfee, it's logs should clue you into what it see's.
