Try installing AC Dual Client. I know that it's not required, but I've had to load it to get my decal working several times.

isn't that more of the 'special' dx9 file from the decal site that must be downloaded and installed which is NOT typically installed by the more standard setup's for dx9 as it is more of an AUTHOR file then a 'user' file?

What happens if you load decal with no plugins loaded?

That was what I originally tried, I only downloaded plugins to check to make sure it wasn't an issue of having no plugins installed. Same issue.

Originally had AC Dual Client installed, uninstalled it when I moved stuff into the Public\Games folder, made no difference but will try that again.

I'll try that DirectX download on the Decal site.

How's this for cool, I installed AC Dual Client and subsequently had to install .Net Framework 1.1 - as soon as I did these, Decal no longer worked.
Uninstalled ACDC and .net 1.1 and Decal works again

VI tells me decal doesn't use net 1.1 so it should have NO impact if installed or not.

are you sure AC-DC had 'start decal' checked IF you didnt start up decal before launching ac-dc?

Decal and most plugins use .net 2.0. Some plugins (Alinco3) use .net 3.5.

ACDC uses .net 1.1.

goarrow and sssort both use .net 2 and MS installer 3.1. so the installation of .net 1/1.1 should have NO impact on whether or not decal is shown/runs.

Yeah decal was started the whole time
Just think it's weird that I install it, decal stops loading, I uninstall it and it works again.
Installing 1.1 was a pre-req of installing ACDC but I uninstalled them both
