got the 4 new spells and having success with the other 2, but for some reason castaway says the these two spells are unknown.


i can cast them manually, so they are NOT unknown to AC, just unknown to castaway it seems.


ANY one having luck with these spells and castaway?

Castaway is going to take the name you have in the XML file and look-up the spell id from that. If you misspell something it will fail. Other than that it should work. If it isn't then wait for a Decal update.

i've entered it 3 times.


the last time I manually cast the spell cut&pasted the name into the xml file and castaway STILL Doesn't know the spell.


so it's not the xml file, it's some kind of weirdness where the name is ___ externally but possibly intenrally it's know differently so there isn't a match up?

maddy, i've just informed VI that it appears 'to me' that Vtank isn't buffin weapons with the new 7/8 spells either.


so it's a is probably more then a problem with castaway.

Like I said, if it isn't working with the correct name it probably is an issue with Decal. Probably something in the memlocs is my guess.

sorry, didn't read it right.


But, let me climb out on a limb and suggest that it isn't probably as easy as an incorrect memloc error. back in the day of 1byte pointers, tables could easy out grow pointers. if almost everything else is working except for 2 of 4 new spells added unless these were the last two spells added to a table that is larger then current pointer technology, which i kind of doubt, something else maybe the underlinning cause.


of course if may well track back to memloc issue, but i suspect it will be a NEW memloc issue .

Well i wonder if it has something to do

with Incantation of Spirit Drinker having two ids

5182 and 4414.


First one is 7%

Second one is 8%

Two spell id's for the same spell name could do it. If Castaway grabs the spell id for the one you don't know then it will fail. Sounds like a bug outside of AC, but not sire if it is a Decal issue or an AC issue.

I don't think it's a bug- the cast version of the spell is the same power as the level 7 but the length of a level 8. The version found on a wand is 1% higher, so it would need 2 different codes.
