Weird Alt-Tab Graphics Issue - Please look |
Returned to the game about a week ago, installed decal and all my favorite goodies, and now i'm having this weird graphics glitch every time i alt-tab out, and return back to the game.

I've looked everywhere, and the only thing i can find is some ancient post relating to Z-Buffering, which i can't seem to find to turn off. Would greatly appreciate any help.
Video card is a Geforce 8400 GS, running XP Sp3 32-bit, with DX9.0c. |

No, That isn't it at all, Mine's like an overlay of miscellaneous garbage. I believe it's decal related, since it only happens while running Decal, i can't narrow it down to any specific plugin however.

almost like the occasional white outs i would get on an older graphics card.
but it wasn't checkered board like that more of a series of polygons would go white. which was an indication the card wasn't removing unused palets and was about to crash. for my problem just closing AC to the desktop and restarting cleared the issue as it force the graphics card to dump all the useless junk.

Does it happen if you disable all plugins but still have Decal running? If not, try enabling one plugin at a time to find the offending plugin. You might want to start with the ones that have HUDs, like GoArrow.

Heed Digeros advice.
Does it happen with no Plugins loaded and if not start by disabling all HUD related plugins and re-add one at time to find the culprit.

one thing to consider.
if your desktop is larger then your typical ac size, then you can use the AC setting to switch from full screen to windows mode.
windows mode runs a BIT slower then full screen, but makes for MUCH easier alt-tabbing.
also the AC setting for brightness doesn't work in windows mode but does nice in lighting up dark dungeons in full screen mode.

I think I've found the culprit, and thank you guys so much for leading me in the right direction. I had assumed it would've been GoArrow, or something like that, but it seems AC+ was causing it, i unchecked it's box, and rechecked everything else, and 15 alt-tab's later, no issue. ISO another plugin similar to AC+, lol.
