"The current installation of ac is at c:\games\ac and the second installation is at c:\ac\2"

That doesn't look right. It should be c:\games\ac and c:\games\ac\2. That could be why ACDC has a problem starting the second client.

I know you didn't want to try this with decal yet but can you install that so you can get an export to post here? It is hard to diagnose a problem without knowing all of the variables.

Ok I have installed decal to c:\games\decal

I also noticed that when lauching AC through ACDC decal does not start, but when I launch AC manually through the turbine launcher Decal works fine.

The launcher should be acdclient.exe instead of aclient.exe I believe. It looks like the ACDC install failed somewhere. Did you get any messages during installation? You should of gotten one asking you to enable performance counters that you have to enable or ACDC won't work because it uses that to determine where AC is.

I have the following exe files in my ac game folder:

acclient
aclauncher
ACDCClient

Yes I did get the performance counters message and I chose to enable it. Other than that message, I got no other error messages and it said ACDC successfully installed.

The acdcclient should be listed as the launcher in your decal export. Something is wrong with the install but I do not know what. Its like Dual Clent didn't find where you had AC installed. The only suggestion I have is to uninstall and reinstall.

Ok.....

I cannot say what I did, but I have ACDC working currently... I am dumbfounded. I am good at following directions, but whatever.

I did not really do anything differently. Well the only thing different now is after I installed Decal, I uninstalled ACDC and deleted the folder. Installed ACDC once again to c:\games\acdc and now it works and injects decal fine ...and loads the second client. I manually set the paths and the info was exactly as it was before, so I don't get it, but if it works..it works and I am not gonna argue.

Thanks for putting up with my ramblings guys.

My problem is getting the 2nd account to update on the screen with two glass tubes.....the connection fills up then the update one does nothing, then i get the "connection to server lost" message

My suggestion for you guys is to- have ACDC set up for more accounts than you plan to run. IE- if you going to run 2 accounts, set it up for 3 or 4....worked for a buddy of mine.
