Updating instructions


Go Arrow:

1) Open Go Arrow and go to Atlas > Update

2) Change the URL to wherever you saved the new data_cod.xml file. (In my case C:\data_cod.xml)

3) Make sure Database Type is set to Crossroads of Dereth.

4) Click Update, when Finished click Update a Second time.

* Current number of locations in database: 4,950

Or:

1) Open Go Arrow and go to Atlas > Update

2) Change the URL to http://darktorizo.henrygreer.com/downloads/data_cod.xml

Dereth Explorer:

1) Back Up your existing data_cod.xml file located at C:\program files\Dereth Explorer\Data\data_cod.xml by default

2) Copy the new Data_cod.xml file to C:\program files\Dereth Explorer\Data\

Do I need to add The Network as a start location?

Thank you for pointing this out, apparently the raw .xml did not get uploaded today. It is fixed now if you want to re-update.

Just of note, when GoArrow routes now I find it uses my recalls (Aphus Lassel, Glenden Wood, Portal Ties) as most of them drop fairly close to one of the Town Network Portals.

The only Error in the way it routes is using Facility Hub Recall, as on the map they are close together, but you can not physically walk from Facility Hub to the Town Network.

Did you move all the destroyed portals to a commented out section in the xml so that if they re-add the portals back you can quickly re-enable them? I'm about 90% certain that they will stay destroyed only for as long as this story arc continues, least I'm hoping they add some of them back in at least.

There is a tag on each of the entries marked Retired, You can specify N (Visible) or Y which makes the entry Invisible so that GoArrow and Dereth Explorer do not show them.

To "fix" them it is as simple as un-tagging them all. (or take an older version of the file and copy/paste everything before this patch)
