Ok so i got a new pc with win7 64 bit. I installed decal into its own folder c:\games\Decal 3.0\ as instructed. I goto run as administrator when i load it. I get a red X next to plugin surrogate 1 which is normal. I have gathered all this info from other posts. Now when i log into AC, whether it be from dual client drakkier, or directly going to the c:\games\Asheron's Call\ folder decal doesnt show up at all on my screen. When i install decal i always pick ac installation folder as c:\games\Asheron's Call\ which i assume is correct.

Make sure everything required is installed. Run windows update once you get everyting installed. Then scroll down about 4-5 posts in that thread and follow the instructions for installing exactly in the order they are given.


You basically need to start over from scratch. Uninstall everything you have now or you may run into more problems.

decal hotstrip not showing is usually dx9 related from what i recall but you got them


the version number for your msxml4.dll is different from mine (4.30.2107.0) which is on my win7 machine but then my xp machine has 4.20.9876.0 so not sure if that relates to your problem or not.


DID you follow the threads suggestions of not installing to the default location? set them in the properties to run in xp compat mode 2 and to run as admin?

when you right click on the desktop icon or the exlpore name of the program, decal 3.0 or plugin or ac, and bring up the Properties window at the both of the compatability tab under the compat mode windows xp service pack 23 stuff is a privilege level.

Just a wild guess, but if you open decal, is everything still black checks, or is everything red? If everything is red, then you need to update decal.
