Network Filters
Decal FileService - No DLL

Win XP

The Decal FileService shows a red X and says NO DLL.

I'm trying to figure it out for a friend. My decal works fine and always has.

Things we have tried. Uninstalling Decal and Reinstalling decal. Removing all the plugins didn't work.

Nothing shows up in came. Just the normal client without decal at all.

ISO Ideas?

Edit: Can update but still shows red X for FileService.

Only thing that changed on the machine was Windows Updates.

I've tried to help my friend as much as I can. I can't figure this one out which doesn't usually happen. Maybe it's too obvious.

Try uninstalling decal and manually deleting the decal folder. Then reinstall.

Been there done that. It didn't work.

I just asked her to double check and yes she already did that. She also says she ran some decal cleaner off the decal website.

Keep in mind both myself and Gabs have dealt with issues with decal before. We got the basics. I've searched for fixes for this and can't find anything. I'm here asking for help because I can't find the answer myself.

In that previous link others said that XP will not let you remove the registry entry by using a script. Can you look to make sure that its actually removing that registry entry after you uninstall decal? If it isn't you can just manually remove it.
