Greetings fellow nerds, gamers, and computing science enthusiasts.

Attempting to dual log on two servers, FF and DT.

I'm using a gigaset router which is currently UDP port forwarded from 9000-9050.

AC is installed in C:\Games along with my Dual Client and other decal things.

Dual Client options are set to:
S.Port: 9020
E.Port: 9050
Auto-Port checked, Dual Client checked.

When I installed Dual Client it appears to have correctly duped all the appropriate AC folders into a folder named "2" also in C:\Games.

Running Windows 7 OS, UAC is turned off.

As well, the two paths are correct in Path Options. (C:\Games and C:\Games\2)

Now the interesting stuff:

I can load AC just fine on the first client using Dual Client. Everything works great with Decal and such.

When I try to load the second client through Dual Client, the connect bar fills but the Update Progress bar remains empty until the client loses connection. The first client remains logged ingame just fine through all this.

Any thoughts? If you need more information I'll be happy to provide it.

Thanks in advance to all who read.

-Morde

try logging both accounts/clients into the same server, DT has been having issues lately. Sounds like it's probably a server issue, not a setup issue.

Tried a few times adjusting the order of servers.

DT first, FF second resulted in the same problem.

I know you stated UAC is off, but Win 7 still has a firewall message that will pop up initially for both clients.. did you allow both instances of this warning each time you started the clients? (will only be the one time for each)

I appreciate your help my friend, and I gave it a quick read.

Unforunately I don't think Decal is the problem, as the first client always loads decal and all related plugins just fine.

I think if anything this is a router problem. =/

Also I tried having one client open on DT on my laptop and loading a second on FF on my desktop, which still had the same problem. This just leads me to believe even further that this is a router issue.

If there are any router experts out there, I would appreciate the time greatly.

go to my documents\asheron's call folder on both machines

there you will find a file UserPreferences.ini

open that file in notepad (make a back up first just in case). look for a line UserSpecifiedPort=9005

most likely both files will have the same number 9000 or 9002. you want a different number 5 appart from the other so set one to =9000 and on the other computer =9005

save and then try getting online.

Again, thank you for the quick reply.

Laptop: UserSpecifiedPort=9005
Desktop: UserSpecifiedPort=9000

Started AC on laptop DT server. Everything is dandy.
Then attempted to log into FF on desktop. Very same problem.

Scratch that last note.

I was able to get it to work one client on desktop one on laptop. In my router settings I forwarded 9000-9013 for my laptop IP and 9014-9050 on my desktop IP. Then I set the userspecifiedport=9000 on laptop and 9014 on desktop. I can get into both servers correctly.

This appeared to be the only way to make it work. Setting the range of ports to forward for the whole router didn't allow me to play AC at all.

Is there a way to make it work solely on one machine?

Is there a place to specify the port for the SECOND client anywhere when dual logging?
