Ok, I reformatted and installed windows 7 fresh. I was using windows 7 32bit previously now I have 64 bit. I had no issues before the reformat.

I have read all the stickies, I have decal and AC in c:games and I have all the prerequisite stuff loaded. If I try to login using the AC launcher the game freezes and says a problem occured and AC has to close. If I login from ACDC then I login fine but the decal bar does not show up. Anybody have any suggestions??

Well uninstalling and reinstalling the V bundle now works when I login through the launcher, still no decal bar when logging in with ACDC. Any other suggestions??
Edit: I have a red x in decal on version 1 pulgin surrogate - not sure if that is a clue?

I have tried to install those, I dled and extracted them, nothing really happens when you double click the file though...

That didn't help either. This is really getting frustrating. My laptop that works fine does not have those installed either, it says they are not needed. Anybody else have any suggestions? I got AC to run one time with decal using the launcher, now the decal bar won't show up no matter how I launch it.

Edit: Now its working through the launcher again (after uninstalling and reinstalling decal) but still not with ACDC. Why would it work one way and not the other??

It happens because ACDC interferes with normal aclauncher use and requires its own injection system, which obviously does not always work properly.
