id like to start off with saying id appreciate any help much <3 and yes i realize my computer is a pile of poop

Are you using ACDC to launch AC?


Can you get in game without decal loaded?

Try disabling goarrow and see if it works.

0 problem without decal running can dual client i have also disabled all of the vtank downloads to include go arrow
*edit* it has been narrowed down to things downloaded when decal is downloaded

another interesting thing is i can download the non beta version of decal 2.9.6.0 and ac will launch with decal running

but then vtank says no d.l

Pretty sure if you uninstall decal and install an older version, you need to reinstall vtank. You may need to uninstall vtank, including using the virindi view unistaller on the vtank wiki page, then reinstall fresh.


And going back to an older version of decal was going to be my recommendation if you were having problems with .5

Yes, but only because properly uninstalling decal requires running the cleandecalreg utility, which wipes all plugins from the list. If the plugins are in the list, they do not need to be messed with.

again, me and many others have this same problem with .5... all common trends are running XP, not sure if anyone can look into this but seems like .5 crashes AC when running xp
