Or how long it'll take for Haz and VI to get Decal back up and running?

My guess is that it'll take them 2-3 days to get Decal up, but almost all the plugins are going to break - certainly the ones that buff or fight for you. The ones that ID things are probably going to be ok, I guess.

My bigger worry is that our Decal Devs seem noticabley absent lately from the forums. I fear that they may just pack it in and not want to do the work to bring things back up to speed. I couldn't blame them, as they are not getting paid for the work, other than in our thanks.


But yes, all the buffing programs will be Fubar with regards to the new spells. God I hate buffing manually. It will be funny if it is not the patch that makes me quit, but not having access to the time saving apps I depend on that ultimately makes this game not worth my time.


If there is anything we can do for the decal devs that would inspire them to make things work again, let me know.

The buffing programs (at least Castaway) has the ability to be configured to buff by spellID. As long as the plugins are there to generate the spell IDs, it would be just a matter of time before new spell xmls are released. The main issue will mainly be figuring out what maps to what after the patch (i.e. which skill ID is mapped to what skill or what weapon type is mapped to what weapon). Virindi has incorporated the /vt propertydump into vtank that will help us determine that.

The only ones I use that if decal gets working again should be OK I would think would be;

GoArrow
MiniMap
SkunkVision VSS
Virindi HUDs

The rest will be Fubar
