I would think that the operating costs on AC are quite low, and the game has certainly paid for itself many times over by now. As long as it's not losing money I don't see why they'd shut AC down, unless they were repurposing the server hardware or something.

Alot of you guys are looking at this the wrong way it was Turbines baby not WB it held sentimental value for TUBRINE not WB.Wb sure didn't buy turbine for anything to do with AC they bought turbine for the lotro,DDO,and the microtransation tech they can bring to wb other games. There is no way ac1 is still profitable imo I see at the best the servers being cut down to 1-2 and them not caring if ppl lose houses or not unlike turbine.More than likely ending the updates or keeping just a skeleton crew to work on lil things for Ac1 if.when needed.Worse case is they shut it down completly and that is something certainly very possible.People seem to forget WB didn't even give Matix Online 6 months to fix the game to see if it was worth saving they dumped it to SOE asap.

If you really think they will hold onto Ac1 to say we have a 10 year old mmog your nuts,.
