It would be nice if someone from Turbine would post here that they are aware and working on it..

Just saw on the FF board - posted about a minute ago.

Our techs are on site working to resolve the datacenter issues. Thanks for your patience, and we'll bring more updates as they're available! - Posted a few minutes ago.

LOTRO Facebook Update

From Facebook Site posted:

They don't troll the VN Boards anymore, haven't in years, and since their website is down as well, they can't post an update there.

Edit : To clarify, all Turbine related games, forums, and web pages are down at the moment. So this applies to not only LOTRO, but DDO and AC as well.

I really doubt that Warner Brothers is about to "go under" look at the Warner Bros. franchises, plenty of good things that they have going for them. Plus just like GM, they are too big to fail!!! lol WB bailout. j/k

they had to put off filming the new james bond for cash problems. the big ace in the hole is they hold the rights to the hobbit book. they can borrow on that as it's assured of making big bucks now that peter jackson is directing.

Isn't James Bond part of MGM, which I think Warner Bros. turned down a merger/buyout of?

Anyhow, the "OMG Warner Bros. took it over, and the servers just crashed, they pulled the plug" is just a little too much Chicken Little. The servers are not only back online, but I seriously doubt that you'd just wake up one day, and the plug would be pulled to all of Turbine's games without so much of a notice. Especially considering, if I remember correctly, LOTRO is the second most popular MMO in the US right now. If it's not the second, it's definitely in the top 5, so I seriously doubt that it would have the plug pulled without any type of notification first.
