So I used to play AC many years ago, and I sort of want to play again, but I deleted all of my characters and the idea of leveling another character from 0 makes me want to throw up. How hard is it to level a toon if you're starting out all over again? Any suggestions?

It's very easy to level these days.

From level 10 you can use theFacility_Hub_Quests which will take you to level 50 in no time. It's also fun as it allows you to re-visit quests you probably haven't done in the longest of times.

Yeah, do the facility hub quests to start, then head straight to various tusker/olthoi portals for pincer/tusk quest or general leveling.

You'll often find a buff bot or two Holtburg, otherwise check the marketplace.

Use the marketplace to buy salvage, to imbue with whatever bow you plan to start out with. Should be a high skill bot in another room that can imbue & tinker for donations. Getting money is easy.

If melee, make sure to talk to Shoichi in Lin, kill 200 tusker guards, get 20 mil xp, good for a level 40 melee.

Once you hit 70-80, try Crystalline Crag. A few XP quests on a 24 hour timer. XP grows each time you do it, except for the jump, make sure you have 380-400 jump skill.

OK, what is a reasonable amount of time to hit 126, the original max level?

Are there any sites left that guide you through that process.

Also, do you need to run plug ins to get the most from the game? I would assume some type of loot filter is a must still.

Casual player would hit 126 in 2 months. If you play more than 4 hours a day, probably 3-4 weeks. This is my third month, currently at 134.

Facility Hub makes tusker/pincer quests pretty easy, good source of treated healing kits and dispell gems. Tusker dungeons are great for leveling, Olthoi ones are meh, better off in Olthoi Horde Nest. At level 40ish, do the Tusker Task quest, kill 200 tusker guards, get 20 mill (See tusker barrakcs in fac-hub). Once you hit 75, can try Crystaline Crag, theres 3 basic quests on a 24 hr timer. The jump quest, 10 mill. 100 wisp kill & 10 rare crystals, start out small (6 mil?), but grow each time you do it.

Leveling is unbelievably easy.

I've played for years but my cousin on the other hand has never played until a month ago. He started a new character for the first time and now he's level 160, so if someone like my cousin who hasn't played AC ever can reach to 160 with no problem (on darktide) im pretty sure someone with experience like you wouldn't have a problem either.

Levelling is much easier now then it was for sure.

I just came back to after I guess 10 years.

I am playing on Darktide though, what is a good leveling template? I figured I would level fast and then switch once I am ready to pvp.

Thanks for all the info in this thread. There was an OT thread on the wow general boards a few days ago and it really got me missing this game.

I too had deleted my toons and had not wanted to restart, but if it's that easy to level initially, I sub up again

2h/Melee D would be the easy way out for leveling up but, to be honest I have leveled up as a Mage just fine on DT.
