sure. i use a cs daily for killing azaxis for harvesting colo items.

but i wouldn't use it instead of soul vs prod queen or prod harby or aerbax.

only thing i can think of to use cs on is with a slayer, soulbound should work better than a cs on the v mini boss too

i used to get lazy and just ring everything and then finish him off with a couple of arcs, think they crit for 1700 (least i think they did lol...been a bit since i have been in collo)

Remember that the soulbound has, Crushing Blow, Biting Strike and resistance cleaving: piercing.
This means it has the quest item equal of CB, CS and Pierce rend. I recall speculation that turbine can set the effective level of these properties at diff %'s for any particular item that has any specific one of these properties (but do not have documentation of this). I know that I can one shot sleeches on DI easily enough with a sould bound and pierce arc 7....

Just a quick update:

The Soulbound caster has turned out ot be superior than its rend counterpart. It has become the staple on Aerbax runs...out performing CS/CB fire. In Colo runs and on DI, it is best for killing sleeches (one shot kills). Against Olthoi it shines again. Only draw back...no Tusker's Fist for mass killing. The virdict is still out concerning Mukkir, but my experience tells me the mukkir slayer on a rended caster has better per hit damage, but far lower critical damage. Since DoT is not an issue (fights only last 2-3 spells) the Mukkir Slayer may be the beter option. In Colo, Mukkir Slayer is the choice (Tusker's Fist).

You could probably get someone to give you one for free. You just have to get 25 coins yourself to bind it. I do the quest once a week for the cards and don't even bother picking up the ingots anymore.

I have a Soul Bound, but never used it that much. After reading this thread I guess I'll have to start giving it a go more often. I can't believe put in a wand that is superior to a loot CS or CB wand. This team continues to amaze me.
