I only like wood logs I can chop up with an axe. It's really empowering to attack a tree like that. Take that nature, who's the boss now.

I wouldn't expect my friends to give me free stuff they just paid a lot of money for. Half price is a hell of a deal, I wouldn't have any problems paying for it.

That's my thoughts as well, but considering the nature of your guys friendship, I think you did a fine thing.
