This.

The clock doesn't stop until the ball hits the ground.

It was pretty clear in the replay that the clock hit zero easily 1-1.5 seconds before the ball hit the ground.

There is no controversy. It was a dumb idea to spike the ball and it couldn't get done in 2 seconds time. Game over. QQ Wisky fans.
