seriously.. south korea is the only one of the three that can be considered significantly higher than the U.S. one, and its not even THAT high. try looking for countries not on the same end of the chart as the U.S. if you want good examples.

I know people prefer big numbers, it is easier to figure out the impact, but if people in the US suddenly had to pay 200% more for food (or even 30% more) Sith and others would be going a LOT crazier.

The food expenditure for other developed countries is not proportional to the difference in PPP/GDP per capita.

I personally think a 30% increase in food expenditures (Canada) or 60% increase (Austria) counts as significantly higher.

another thing to think about if it increased that much from the wholesaler, just wait and see what happens to prices that we have to pay retail.
