Killing them is the best way to make sure they won't try it again. And yeah, I think it *is* too bad she couldn't get both of them. The lowlifes knew her husband was dead and that she was alone -- they were cowards to prey on her, they probably figured she was alone and helpless.

the warning they got was that they were denied entry previously, and the doors were locked. If someone wants you in their home, they don't lock their doors and tell you a few days prior that you aren't wanted inside...
