There was an EU character that was neat, but I can't remember the name. He crashed a ship into a sun(planet, whatever)...then pulled it of that same sun(planet, whatever) later.
And I stick by Fett as my first answer, as awesome bounty hunter.
Kyp Durron. Hes one of my favorites but he never gets enough coverage in later books imo. Anakin Solo and Mara Jade were favs of mine...if you follow the books you know why that just sucks for me

It's been a decade+ since I read any of the EU books. Used to be all into them, then I traded them in at the used bookstore for other stuff.
They were getting really lame when I stopped reading them.

i thought the new jedi order series (about 20 books) was really good despite it not going the way i wanted it to in parts. starts with vector prime i think. prior to that series and just after it there were some real bombs though.
