Actually dogs are "pack" animals.

So you may not see them as family, but they do.

Mine's part of the pack/family. Hes sleeping on the couch right next to me. He sleeps on my bed. He eats dog food and poops outside.

I think there's this thing that kind of rolls on it and takes the nail off in thin slices so it doesn't like crack the nail and it's not loud and scares the shit out of pets

I saw it on a commercial

so you exclude her from your pack most of the time? that's horrible.

There are a few in this thread, I think.

My dogs always stay outside because I'm not some mud-hut dwelling, hunter-gatherer.

Seems like an odd thing to say. I don't live in a mud hut, nor do I hunter-gather, so therefore the dog stays outside?

I don't get it. I'm neither of those things either.

I would never have a dog that needed a muzzle.

Our dog was always really good with the regular nail clippers. She'd just sit there with her paw in your hand waiting. But that grinder thing... I can't imagine she'd have liked that. It's loud. She also didn't like those big groomer places that smelled like pee and bleach the fear and stress from the other dogs would get to her and she'd try and run away. We used to take her to this small one down the road. It smelled so nice inside and the girl was so sweet, she really cared about her customers. And Sally would always come home smelling like jellybeans
