At least he's honest. Romney made millions by firing people in hostile takeovers of various companies.

The other Republican candidates, except for Ron Paul, are whining so hard about Romney's money that they're starting to sound like socialists.

The full quote makes him look even dumber.

No one can fire their health insurance company. If you find out that your insurance company sucks, you're sick and you're screwed. You can't go fire it and get another one because now you have a pre-existing condition and no one will take you.

That was the point of the plan he passed in Mass.! Which of course he disavows because it's a terrible idea... because he's so honest...

He's so out of touch and has no idea what it's like to not be the a rich man who was the son of another rich man.

FFS, just read the story about him taking his dog on family vacations to know how slimy a POS he is.

Sheesh he didn't say he likes firing his insurance company. Obviously you can't do that. But he'd like to make it so people could. Just like you can "fire" your auto insurance company or homeowner's insurance company in favor of a different one.

And really- you're getting on his case for something he did in 1983- something that people probably would have applauded back then because of its ingenuity? Something that happened in the days when you could throw your kids in the way back of the station wagon or the pickup truck without seatbelts and no one batted an eyelash?

Lets all get hung up on him saying something the wrong way, because that's whats important. Forget that many Americans want a president that isn't afraid to fire the corrupt and useless bureaucrats in the federal government, it's way more important that our president can read other people's speeches well.

Brilliant Jezza, absolutely brilliant. Romney is an out of touch elite, and so was Obama, but instead of pursuing valid avenues to make that point, lets hop on an "Oooooh no he di'int" sound clip because it's all the average voter wants to pay attention to.

Lets take a count, who's vote here is that cheap to win over?

Live by the sword, die by the sword.

The Republicans have become the party of stupid, with their creationism and denying global warming is happening, regardless of causation.

That is why he has had to flip flop, he has had to go to stupid absolutist to toe the Party line, partisan moronic rhetoric rather than a reasoned tempered logical response.

He has the ability to pull off intelligent responses, no question he is no dumbass, but having to act like one to satisfy the Party of Stupid (and their "absolutist partisan nonsensical rhetoric" death squads is killing his chances.

"Liking" has nothing to do with it. Yes you can, in this current system under current law, but I explained why that never actually happens.

I've had the opportunity to fire one person in my life.

He returned to work an hour later with a gun and we had to call the cops.

In my experience firing people is frightening.

Romney honest?

The guy contradicts himself in the same sentence constantly. He has been for, and against, every issue...depending upon who he is talking too. He lies more than Chris Christie...and that's almost impossible.

this. he's obviously two-faced. how can you say he's honest?
