I think the criteria should have been to spend it in one visit on goods actually sold by the retailer. That was probably what was implied, but we are like a bunch or lawyers in here.
My lawyer said I can drop the 10 grand in the middle of a busy Walmart, so that's what I'm going to do.

It would have to be Lowe's or Home Depot -- let's just say our builder's "model" home certainly doesn't look like a model to us and there's some things that need to be changed out.

you would get sued in a heartbeat because someone would hit someone else or shove them and they would get hurt and they woudl sue you for not having any safety security officers around to make sure that they stayed safe while shoving and pushing to get to teh money themselves.

Well, one of two places. Would depend on where I was living.
If in my current residence, I would go to a good fabric store. Not JoAnn's or Hancock's, but a nice place with good quality stuff. Would have to drive to Chicago for that but who cares???
If I could wait till we're in a place with some acreage (even just 1 acre) I'd spend it in a garden center, on everything I want/need to grow an awesome veggie garden/orchard.
