This thread begs the question: do the "women" of ACF use a funnel to get that much sand in their vagina or do they just slide around the beach like an angry Roomba? -deadcactus-

I have one cat that knows sit. They know their names, and No and PSSTT! to stop fighting. Except for the deaf one. She doesn't recognize any words.

Pretty much anything - whether they choose to listen is different.

hmm.
man.. your dog sounds smart.
when you give him the wait command, do you need to tell him for how long too?
im only asking because we all know that stay means indefinitely, or at least until i say..
but wait?
now that is talent...

Wait is more of a command for walking. He gets excited and pulls, and wait means separate things depending on if he's on his leash. On leash it's stop walking and sit down until I say, off leash it's slow down until I catch up. Kind of like a "heel" I guess. I just don't like the word heel.

They know:
Their names
Treat
Din dins
Water (this means one of us is going to turn the tap on for them, they both love drinking out of the tap)
Go to bed (only one of our cats knows this one)
Tiggy (the same cat that goes to bed has a stuffed tiger called Tiggy, we can ask her to go get it)
I think there are a couple of others, but those are the ones i remember.

hmm.
All these and,
Easy(taking food slowly from hand), spin, up, *bang*(with hand as gun), get your ball, get your toy, get your ducky, wanna go for a walk? (she'll go over and nose her leash, Wanna go for a ride? (She'll run to the back door and spin around excitedly.)
kennel up (jumps up into car)
if I'm sitting on the couch she won't jump up unless I invite her, even if my daughter is telling her to do it. If I'm not in the room she listens to others, or does what she wants if she's alone.
she might even know more that I haven't thought of asking her, the only one I've taught her specifically is play dead, and then mutated it to *bang*.
she learns very quickly, but is also very stubborn about bad habits.
