I wouldn't do it for exactly the reasons you've offered as an example. I suppose many people would want to give in to that temptation, so to speak... and sure, my reptilian brain says "Drew Barrymore cloned wife!!! w00t!"... but creating a race of indentured servants is the final indictment against humanity.

Not sure what the purpose would be. I guess they'd make good cannon fodder (Warhammer 40k), but people in general are way more ethical than I am, so it'd never work.
I wouldn't clone any dead relatives. No point. If you've ever watched someone die, you know that the body is just a shell, and anything that makes up a 'person', whether something supernatural or not, leaves or dies with them. A clone is a poor substitute - without the exact same experiences and upbringing, they'd never be the same.

other than for body part donations, the only thing I can really see as being acceptable would be for testing on humans...but stuff like that would have to be agreed upon by the clonee and I can't think of a way to make it humane enough for it to be acceptable...

I tend to agree with this.
Unless they come up with future tech that plants your memories and consciousness into a cloned body. I would be for that and sign up immediately (getting old is overrated).
