If they had run the ball one more time and punted with the punter? It would not be a dick move.
edit: If you don't understand how punting the ball on 3rd down with your QB is a dick move, then you are just being purposely dense.(which is obvious as you keep ignoring those two aspects of it)

WTF?!? Please explain how it is a 'dick move' giving your opponent the ball a down early when you are destroying them... I would LOVE to hear that.

There were 3 minutes left... the game was over.
Just run out the clock, as you had done the entire rest of the 4th quarter, and move on to the Ravens.
edit: Think of it like dropping manner mules/scans in a Starcraft 2 match.
Is it going to affect the outcome of the game? Nope.
Is it rubbing the victory in the face of your inferior opponent by saying "eh, we didn't need that anyway."? Yep.

Except that most of the guys in the post-game agree with me.
It's all just opinions obviously.
The Pats have been considered a classless organization for a long time. Things like this don't help that reputation.
It's sad too. They even behaved themselves in the second half by pulling their foot off of the gas.
They just couldn't let the Broncos off easy though. Had to throw in a 3rd down QB punt.

those poor poor ADULTS...i'm sure it will take years of therapy for them to get over someone saying they are better than them with a third down QB punt.

There is no pleasing some pink hats. They dont want to see good football, they just want to whine. Had the pats ran it, kept going and scored, it would have also been classless. Taking a knee would have been insulting and looked too much like a "Tebowing" mock.

i just never saw the point of giving up i guess.
if you are kneeling it or just RB dives for barely any gain, they KNOW you are doing NOTHING to move the ball, and if they STILL dont stop you isn't that rubbing it in even more???
again, these are ADULTS, and i really dont think the players are as big of pussies as the whining fans are.
and BTW, with all this classless BS, when is the last time a pro team was remembered for their class?
as far as take the starters out, there are not many backups that are satisfied with where they are, they want to show what they can do and have very minimal time to do it.
look what Flynn did in a game that meant absolutely NOTHING to the team.
throw Hoyer into the game, and he takes his opportunity to shine.
