If you like Tool, try A Perfect Circle or Puscifer. Maynard James Keenan is the lead singer for all of them.
Speaking of Puscifer, he just released a new album, Conditions of My Parole. It's pretty good. I like it a lot better than his previous Puscifer albums.

Tool and A Perfect Circle.. (both maynard) and I like most of their songs 
I know about puscifier but that band is very hit and miss
