One website said he died, CBS ran with the story and a family spokesman said it was not true at 8:57 EST.
Now CBS pulled the news story. Someone should get a nice a$$ chewing for screwing that up.

Local PA radio allegedly said that he had died, so I don't doubt other outlets would have heard and run with it. That appears to be called back now. ESPN says a spokesperson says he is still in "critical" condition but they have called family and friends to the hospital so he can say goodbye.
People starting to gather at his campus statue.

It wasn't one bad decision. There was one bad decision yes but he could have done something at any point during those 15 years to end the suffering of children. Every day he made a choice not to do more. Legally he probably met his commitment. Ethically he is on the wrong side. I have compassion for him but he could have done something.
