I like the battered and fried ones with yellowtail, cream cheese, and either jalapeno or chives and something else spicy like a spicy mayo or something. I prefer the ones that have the rice coat outside the roll too, I think it's called urumaki style.
We have a local place that delivers it.

california rolls are usually imitation crab, avacado, and cucumber (usually)
there are many rolls with avacado in the center, and each sushi place has their own house rolls. even a veggie roll has avacado usually

i dont care a lot for the large roe they use on some, but give me some nice very very tiny black caviar yummmmm
course, that costs a lot ;p

oh yeah, not sure if it is everywhere, but we call the rice on the outside kind, inside out rolls.

California rolls are the best use for fake crab, ever.
That said, I like maguro (regular and Shiro), Hamachi, Sake, Unagi and occasionaly, Uni.

Roe isn't for taste, it's for texture.
I stick to non-raw maki sushi. Kappa (cucumber) and California rolls are some of my favorite. Local place does a roll that has Fuji apple, krab salad, and cream cheese. Nom.
Back in BC, though, our favorite sushi restaurant had my favorite roll: mango, red pepper, cream cheese, and smoked salmon on top.

We're actually going to our fav place tonight. He makes the best rolls, omg.
I usually get:
Jelly Roll: Shrimp Tempura, Tobiko, Salmon, Crab Meat, Avocado
Spicy Hamachi Roll
Nigiri sushi:
Red Snapper
Surf Clam
Salmon
Butterfish
Octopus
Wash it all down with like a gallon of nigori sake.
